There is no effort on the part of the buyer when you have a home showing. They simply have to show up, wander through the house, and potentially eat any goodies you’re offering. There is no guarantee that your home show guests are even in the market for a home, or that they can afford yours. Most of the people who walk through open houses rarely have the intention of putting in an offer. Many may not even be looking into properties! The idea that home showings garner more interest is outdated. A true, qualified buyer who is interested in the home will be more likely to set up an appointment with a REALTOR® Associate to look at the home.
As a seller, the process of showcasing your home is no easy task.
